Local Crime Activity and Personal Safety

"The warmer weather brought by spring can often be accompanied by increased criminal activity in the city. Since February several street crimes have occurred in areas adjacent to the IIT campus:

• Along 31st Street, between Dearborn and Wabash, three batteries occurred in the late afternoon/early evening hours. In each incident, a group of juveniles approached an individual and then punched the individual before fleeing from the area.
• On the CTA 34th/35th Street Green Line platform, two strong-armed robberies occurred in the late afternoon/early evening hours. In both incidents, a group of juveniles approached an individual and demanded their wallet/cell phone before fleeing on a CTA train.
• On the 3400 block of south State Street at approximately 5:30 am, an individual was pepper sprayed and had their wallet taken by an unknown offender" = Han un ami de Singapour... Ils ont dû l'emmener à l'hôpital pour des soins, il semble qu'il n'était plus capable de voir pendant plusieurs heures! Et le lendemain ce touriste est parti à Philly...

Hé ouais, le temps d'Al Capon n'est pas complètement révolu. Le petits cousins se font la main autour de la 35ème avant d'aller faire un tour sur Magnificient Mile dans quelques années:-)
Pour revenir à Han, il devait être bien amoché parce que je l'ai vu lundi soir, soit une semaine après l'incident, et il avait toujours des marques de fous sur le visage et les yeux rouges et gonflés. Je peux te dire que les gars qui l'ont pris pour cible n'ont pas fait semblant!
